My Professional Story

Since I was very young, I started my journey working with kids. I started in the field of teaching and my original plans were all about teaching. I immigrated to this amazing country in 2007. My joy for the field fueled a fiery determination to revalidate my credentials as a teacher and before I knew it, I was working with children once again. I started as a substitute teacher until I met all the requirements to move further and I got my Professional Educator’s Certificate as an ESOL Teacher.  Short thereafter, I began to grow a love for teaching kids with different needs and I landed a job teaching a self-contained class with students who were mostly diagnosed with autism.

My path as an ABA therapist began and it was not long before I made the decision to further my career in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis by becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. As an ABA Therapist, I gained an incredible passion for kids and their families. Seeing kids progress in all aspects has been my greatest reinforcer. Since then, I have furthered my education to help more families and their kiddos achieve their goals.

Before becoming a BCBA, I was certified at the Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst level where I gained a lot of experience training new incoming ABA therapists. I used to conduct workshops to prepare outstanding and compassionate people for the field. This role also contributed in my decision to become a BCBA. I wished to step into a larger leadership role and help even more staff members develop their skills and passion for the field.

My advice to anyone interested in becoming a BCBA would be to first work in the field of ABA as that would develop the foundational skills of the role and show what the practice is all about. I truly believe that my experience as an ABA therapist, a BCaBA, and a BCBA has allowed me to develop into a more well-rounded BCBA and leader. I love what I do, so I don’t work a day! I am blessed to be able to interact with amazing people and families as a Behavior Analyst and help them reach their maximum potential.

I am also incredibly blessed to count on the amazing professionals that make up our staff. I love every single piece of their work and I feel proud of their amazing results. Our staff is also a reason why I continue to fall in love with this profession by the day. We have great team chemistry here because we are all bounded by the same passion and mission for our clients.
